Kitchen Manager


• The kitchen manager ensures that quality nutritional food is provided and that professional standards are met and maintained
• Three years of high volume food service management is required
• Must have computer experience using Microsoft Office, including internet and electronic mail systems required
• Experience in menu development, catering and production management preferred
• Knowledge of merchandizing and special events in a food service environment
• ServeSafe certification required
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to make judgements concerning policies and procedures
• Must have the ability to direct and control management activities of others
• Must have the ability to mentor and coach and train employees
• Works with minimum supervision
• Takes independent action and makes decisions
• Works flexible hours as needed
• Oversees the account objectives for procurement, production and service
• Controls food, supply and labor costs
• Manages all unit personnel
• Monitors inventory and places orders utilizing quantities on hand
• Maintain the highest rating on health inspections
