1978, St. Mary's Academy & College has grown into a large traditional Catholic
community, numbering approximately 3,300 souls in 2015. Catholics from all over
the world have chosen to make St. Mary's their home, drawn to this small town
in rural Kansas by the schools and by the spiritual benefits of living in a
Catholic community. To keep up with what's going on in our parish, we invite
you to visit the following links.
Perpetual Adoration - is a parish
devotion that aims to have at least one adorer continually before the Blessed
Sacrament in Assumption Chapel at all times, day and night. The goal is
to never have Our Lord alone in the Chapel, and this is done by parishioners
taking on a dedicated hour of time to spend with Him, once a week. We welcome
anyone who can join us in this practice of love and devotion which we have
had the privilege of keeping here since 1990. For more information or to
enroll, please call (785) 437-2471 ext 247 or email PerpetualAdoration@smac.edu.
Third Order of the Society of St. Pius X
The Sacred Heart League - an
apostolate serving the needs of the parish organized by the ladies of the
St. Joseph Businessmen's Association - a lay organization of Roman Catholic
businessmen who want to infuse their professional life with the Catholic
faith and are guided by the social principles taught by the Magisterium
of the Church. They place themselves under the spiritual guidance of the
priests of the Society of St. Pius X, following the spirit of Archbishop
Marcel Lefebvre, defender of Catholic Tradition.
