Groundbreaking for the New Immaculata

May 31, 2020, 40 years to the day since the walls of the original Immaculata fell, groundbreaking for the NEW Immaculata took place. Frs. Wegner and Rutledge took the first shovels-full of dirt from the site, followed by the Immaculata Project Team and the members of the Fr. Shyne League representing the top tier of donors to the project. Next, a cross was planted at the site of the future altar of the Immaculata church. A Solemn Mass of Pentecost Sunday followed, and the day concluded with the May Crowning of our Blessed Mother on the feast of the Queenship of Mary.
