Saint Mary's 2019 Rosary Procession

On Sunday, October 20, St. Mary's Academy and College held its annual candle-light rosary procession.  As rector Fr. Patrick Rutledge said a few words before the procession, thunder and lightning loomed on the horizon. Nevertheless, in the spirit of those who visited Fatima a hundred years earlier, the faithful pushed onward, disregarding the threats from the weather.  Fr. Patrick McBride, holding a relic of the Blessed Virgin, led the procession to the center of town where the rector of St. Mary's, the mayor of the city, and the state representative each consecrated respectively the campus, the city, and the district.  The procession returned to campus just seconds ahead of the storm.
